![]() ![]() The Rush-Henrietta superintendency presents an excellent opportunity for a qualified candidate. Rush-Henrietta was named the number one school district in Monroe County. In 2017, Gannett News Service provided a one-time ranking of area school districts. In addition, the district was one of only five in New York State to be honored as having a Project Lead the Way Distinguished School. Its high school again was ranked among the top 10 percent in the nation by U.S. This year, Rush-Henrietta was honored as one of the Best Communities for Music Education in the United States for the 13th consecutive year. The academic and extra-curricular programs are excellent, as well. Of note, every annual budget and special vote has been approved for more than 20 years. These leaders have enjoyed strong support from the community. Since it was formed 75 years ago, the district has had only six superintendents. Rush-Henrietta is highly respected and maintains a long track record of success. In recent years, Rush-Henrietta has gained a well-deserved reputation throughout the state for its outstanding and thoughtful work regarding equity and inclusion. For instance, students come from more than 30 countries and speak at least 60 languages. Its schools are incredibly diverse in many ways. The district is home to 5,300 students and 1,200 employees. Spanning sixty-seven square miles, Rush-Henrietta is located near Rochester, N.Y., in a popular part of Monroe County that is both suburban and rural. The Rush-Henrietta Central School District has initiated a search for a Superintendent of Schools.
